DIY Logo Design Tips for the Perfect Business logo

With the power of Internet and more eyes watching than ever it's critical for businesses to communicate its unique message effectively. As the essence of your branding, your business logo should reflect your values and personality effectively, and leave a memorable impression. You can sum up the nature of your brand in one word, and the logo is the visual representation of that word. However, small business logos are quite the challenge for small business owners and is often not given the priority it deserves.
A good logo can build loyalty between your business and your clients, improves your brand identity, and provide the professional look of an established enterprise. A logo won’t get you far, though if it is unable to echo your brand.
Before getting started to create logo, read the following tips given by best logo designers.

Send a message
Your clients and audience should be given a chance to discover meaning and intention of your logo themselves. What message do you want to communicate? Ensure that your brand identity and message are appropriate for your type of business and not simply because you personally like it. If your business offers professional services, such as medical treatment or legal advice, design a logo that communicates the level of professionalism expected by your target audience. Forget about the cute factor or humor for these types of businesses.

Choose the colors wisely
Colors play an important role as they can evoke different feelings ad emotions. Interpretations of colors can vary from age, sex, demographics and culture, therefore your choice of color should be based on the type of audience you are going to target.

Typography
You can use the textual element as far as they do not overpower the rest of your logo. Make sure you choose a right font as it can change the impression that your logo makes. Do not get tempted to stand out by using gimmicky fonts.  Instead, keep your font choices simple and classic. If you decide to use two fonts for contrast, choose them from the same theme.

Don’t use Clip Art
Not matter how tempting it may be, clip art can be copied too easily. An original design will leave a more impressive statement for your business and will set your business apart from others. With so many businesses using the same clip art, how your design going to be unique?  Thus, come up with an original idea and design to set your business apart from the rest in the world.

Make it versatile
An effective logo works the same way everywhere. If your logo relies on the fine print, you have a problem. You want to portray a consistent image across all of your marketing materials, including signs, business cards, products lines, letterhead, and websites. Often times, a complex and creative logo design will work fine on a website or billboard, but when you shrink it down to fit on a coffee cup or pen, the illustration or lettering will become illegible.

Keep it simple
A logo should be memorable and the best way to make it memorable is to keep it simple.  This is because a business logo communicates a message about the business, what it does and what it values. Sometimes when a logo design isn’t working out right, the first attempt is to add elements and complexity. Often times, it’s better to start over with a new concept or remove distracting elements rather than add them.
